Ron Di Lauro - Montreal Trumpet Player
 
 
Working in a wide-ranging repertoire that includes classical, jazz, pop, World Music, and Klezmer, Montreal trumpet-player Ron Di Lauro is one of Quebec’s most active musicians.
 
He has accompanied such artists as Dizzy Gillespie, Aretha Franklin, Tony Bennett, Michel Legrand, Oliver Jones, Vic Vogel, Ginette Reno, Maureen Forrester, Petula Clark, Céline Dion, Barry Manilow, Frank Sinatra Jr., Gino Vannelli, Michel Pagliaro, Gregory Charles, Diane Dufresne, Corneille, Michael Bolton, to name a few.
 
 He has frequently been heard as a soloist with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, the Orchestre Métropolitain du Grand Montréal, Orchestre de Laval, and the Orchestre symphonique de Québec as well as the Big Bands of Vic Vogel and Lorraine Desmarais.
 
He has also appeared on several television and radio shows, in musicals, on film scores and in advertising jingles, as well as on more than 250 recordings, most notably with the Cirque du Soleil.
 
Music festivals and funding organizations regularly call upon him to act as a jury member or adjudicator.
At the University of Montreal and McGill University’s Faculty of Music, Ron Di Lauro directs the Jazz Orchestras and teaches jazz trumpet. Ron also teaches trumpet in the Popular Music program at UQAM.
